Those who have played the Mass Effect series are probably familiar with how it ties together the story from save files in the last title played. Today BioWare Lead Producer, Casey Hudson, has said that Mass Effect 2 will be bridged with downloadable content leading into the story of Mass Effect 3.

A new DLC pack, titled "The Overlord", will be coming along this June, and will be the first in a series of downloadable content to lead into the upcoming Mass Effect title. Though the number of packs to be released are currently undetermined, the reception to the first few packs are said to pave the way for more if successful enough.

Players can expect this content to hit in June with no speculation as to when further packs will release. Mass Effect 3 has also been officially announced, but is yet to be revealed or announced as to when a release date will be set.
