In a recent move to classics on PC, Sega has announce that they will be bringing a slew of games from the Genesis, or Master System for those in Europe, on June first to Valve's Steam service. This is the final "system" to make the transition of classics available for download as every other console and handheld has seen this shift.
The plus with these PC versions is that the prices will be around $2.99 each, almost a sort of "late to the party" fee. Quite the savings though, considering most downloadable versions of these games are about 8 to 10 dollars a piece regularly.
The first titles to be released are Golden Axe, Ecco The Dolphin, Comix Zone, and Vectorman, with games like Altered Beast, and Sonic 3D Blast coming later on down the line. At least anybody who wants to play some Genesis games on the PC without any consoles now have the chance to play them, well, at least legally.
