Rumors continue to swirl around the internet at an increasingly frantic pace in preparation for E3. The latest speculation comes from IGN, which sights anonymous developers claiming Nintendo's new 3DS handheld will feature graphics comparable to current generation consoles, excluding the Wii of course.
IGN said: "Several developers that have experienced 3DS in its current form have reported, off the record, that it has processing capabilities that far exceed the Nintendo Wii and bring the device with abilities that are close to HD consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360."
This is by far one of the more surprising rumors to get a lot of buzz recently. Nintendo is not known for trying to push the envelop in terms of graphics, and a powerhouse handheld would certainly make the Wii look even more out of date. We'll have to wait until next week to find out.
