The wave of pre-E3 announcements from Sony continues as the company just pulled the curtain off Motorstorm: Apocalypse. The third iteration in the arcade racing franchise on PlayStation 3 is scheduled for a release sometime next year. Sony has also revealed details which suggest a major shift from previous games.
Motorstorm: Apocalypse is set in an abandoned, crumbing city somewhere on the US west coast. Looks like those Motorstorm: San Francisco rumors weren't far off the mark. The game will also feature an overhauled single player narrative. Instead of simply going from level to level, players will follow the story of a specific character.
As mentioned above, Motorstorm: Apocalypse is the latest in a string of pre-E3 reveals from Sony - LittleBigPlanet 2, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Killzone 3 and InFamous 2 being the others. Which begs the question, what in god's name is Sony holding back for the convention next week?
