Activision has responded to Tim Schafer's not-so-nice remarks against company CEO Bobby Kotick, saying that the man does indeed have a passion and love for the video games industry.

"Tim Schafer's comment that Bobby Kotick 'makes a big deal about not liking games' just isn't true. Bobby has always been passionate about games and loves the videogame industry," says senior VP of corporate communications Maryanne Lataif in defence of the man.

"But as CEO of a company that makes games enjoyed by millions of people worldwide, the demands on his time now make it difficult to play games as often as he'd like to or as much as he once did."

In case you didn't know, Mr. Schafer managed to befit Mr. Kotick the titles of "dick" and "total prick" all in one reply to Eurogamer. Kotick had recently come under fire thanks to the firing of Infinity Ward's West and Zampella, along with a lawsuit against the publisher for holding unpaid bonuses hostage and creating a hostile work place.
