Ubisoft has announced a new mini-comic series for the Assassin's Creed franchise which is set to be unveiled at a Comic Con panel this year on July 22. The panel is titled "Assassin's Creed: Behind and Beyond the Brotherhood" and will shed some light on both the comic as well as Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, set for release this Fall.

Panelists include Assassin's Creed scriptwriter Jeffrey Johalem and the comic artists themselves, Stewart and Kerschl who even visited Saint Petersburg, Russia to research the setting for the comic. Sounds like this comic is going to take place in Soviet Russia.

"We are excited to have the fantastic and acclaimed artists Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl working on the project. Ubisoft is looking forward to showing Assassin's Creed fans what these talented artists have been up to at next week's Comic-Con panel."

Expect more news come July 22 when they officially unveil the comic. It certainly sounds quite intriguing. Meanwhile, enjoy the teaser trailer below.
