Square Enix have announced that Final Fantasy XIV will be releasing as soon as September on the PC. The official date is currently set at the 30th of September, but a Collector's Edition of the game will be sold on the 22nd, which will allow players early access to the game.
Unfortunately, the news isn't as great for PS3 users, as they will have to wait until March 2011 to get their hands on the game. At least that's better than Xbox 360 users though, as Square Enix essentially dashed any hopes of the game appearing on that console.
Square Enix also announced that the game will have a monthly fee of $12.99 and that players will be charged extra, as with Final Fantasy XI, for any additional characters they make.
