EA has confirmed that Crytek's top-of-the line graphical heavy weight sci-fi shooter, Crysis 2 has been pushed back to 2011. It was originally slated for a 2010 holiday release by Crytek's Cevat Yerli at this year's E3 event.
No word on the reason for the delay. The news came via a financial report from EA, which accounted the company's first quarter results for fiscal year 2011. The game will instead release sometime between January and March 2011.
The game is set to be shown at Gamescom at Cologne this year, which is just around the corner. It'll be available for the first time on consoles in addition to the PC.
