Nippon Ichi Cancels Three Unannounced Games

Nippon Ichi Software, the parent company of NIS America, has announced that they are canceling three of their games that were currently in development, all of which began development last year.

After evaluating the quality of the titles and the current market conditions around the world, NIS decided to cease further development on the titles. The cost for canceling these games cost the company 21 million Yen (about $244,000), which was posted as a one-time special loss for the company.

The comments about the "quality" of the titles seem to suggest they may have been PS3 and/or PSP ports of the company's existing PS2 titles, but since the company didn't disclose the names, it's not known for certain.
