In celebration of EA's racer MMO, Need For Speed World, reaching and surpassing the one million registration milestone the company is making the entire game free-to-play!

Previously, users could play for free until a certain level before they had to purchase the game to continue their progress; however, now all players will gain free access to the entire game.

"Starting today, all players will have full access to Need for Speed World for free," confirmed EA today. "Racers can play the entire game at no cost or can purchase SpeedBoost items to accelerate their career progression including items like power-ups, double XP periods and even rental cars."

Yup, it's free so who can complain? EA is also promising a bunch of new game features and expansions like "more cars, deep performance customization, a new world region and a co-op pursuit mode."
