Earlier this year, Atlus released 3D Dot Game Heroes on the PS3, which earned a 9/10 and an Editor's Choice from Gaming Union. Atlus has just announced a brand-new patch for the game, which has everyone's favorite "little big" star coming to play.
3D Dot Game Heroes is a throwback to the old-school games of yore, taking aspects from games like the 2D The Legend of Zelda games, but adding it's own unique mix of abilities and using a unique physics engine that mixes 2D and 3D visuals together. Your character, which is customized by the player, can equip a number of different swords, each of which have their own unique properties and looks, ranging from big swords to even fish.
The special update for the game includes fifty fan and staff created heroes, the ability to carry over certain swords in New Game+, time completion adjustments for the Dash Circuit mini-game, some bug fixes for the art gallery that shows during loading, and last, but not least, LittleBigPlanet's very own Sackboy being available to play during the game as a custom skin.
To get the update, start up your internet-connected PS3 and start up the game.
