Looks like Square Enix have nailed down a solid release date for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded in the west. The game was released today in Japan and North America will be getting it on January 11 and Europe on January 14, 2011.
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is a remake of the Kingdom hearts Coded game for mobile phones in Japan. Re:coded features combat a leveling system that seems to be a cross between Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days and the original Coded. The game takes place after Kingdom Hearts II where Sora and gang attempt to figure out a mysterious message in Jiminy's journal.
"Jiminy Cricket is looking over the journal he used to document his first adventure with Sora when he discovers a mysterious message. He didn't write it "“ so how on earth did it get there? King Mickey is determined to find out, so he and his friends decide to digitize the journal and delve into its deepest secrets. Inside this "datascape" dwells a second Sora who is about to embark on a grand adventure of his very own."
Kingdom Hearts Re:coded will be available for the Nintendo DS on January 11 in North America and January 14 in Europe.
