EA has revealed that Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which was released earlier this year, has so far sold almost six million units - figures that are almost double the sales of the previous iteration.
On the earnings call, where the news was revealed, EA COO John Schappert said "In the spring, we released Battlefield: Bad Company 2, with a Metacritic index of 89. Today, Bad Company 2 is sold through almost 6 million units, more than double the sales of the original."
In their minds, Bad Company has now done enough to cement itself as a standalone franchise away from the Battlefield main series. In other words, expect more Bad Company games in the future.
