Servers for Cheyenne Mountain's online shooter Stargate Resistance will be closing on January 15, 2011, just shy of a year since its February, 2010 release.

This news follows just whenCheyenne Mountain was recently stripped of licenses by Stargate owner MGM Studios.

The studio was originally working on an MMO also based on the Stargate universe, called Stargate Worlds, before putting it on the backburner to push out Stargate Resistance, an online third person shooter spinoff. Cheyenne Mountain then filed for bankruptcy, sold its assets to Fresh Start Studios and Dark Comet Games before suing them for fraudulent use of said assets.

Stargate Resistance is also no longer on sale.
