3DTVs are slowly making their way into the homes of consumers, as Futuresource Consulting believe there will be at least 4 million in homes around the world by the end of the year.
It might not sound like huge numbers, but with Samsung, Panasonic and Sony set to significantly increase their marketing, this figure is likely to significantly increase by the end of 2011.
In the UK, there are now over 120,000 3DTVs in homes and this figure is expected to be over 500,000 by the end of 2011.
Many believe that Toshiba's glasses-free 3DTV may have put consumers off and Futuresource believes it will be around seven years until they arrive at 'mass-market' prices.
It looks like only the select few will be enjoying 3D gaming for quite a while then.
