Reports say that Konami is making ready for a complete takeover of Hudson. Konami currently has a 54 percent stake in the Bomberman developer and the takeover gives Konami a 100 percent stake, making Hudson a wholly owned subsidiary of Konami.

Konami will be taking over Hudson via stock swaps. In addition, Digital Golf will be made into a wholly owned subsidiary of Konami.

The takeover is expected to take place on April 1. Sankei reports that Konami's goal is to assimilate Hudson's knowledge and experience with game distribution on cell phones as well as for potential future projects regarding social gaming.

Current Hudson CEO Michihiro Ishizuka is expected to resign on March 31 with Konami Digital Entertainment's Kazuhiko Uehara taking his place.
