According to UK trade body, UKIE, the video games industry in the UK was worth only £2.875 billion during 2010 - much less than the £3.31 billion reported throughout 2009.
However, despite this, the amount of money generated by the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms grew, with them accounting for £800 million out of the £1.45 billion generated from software.
Together, they managed to sell 2.3 million units, which was similar to 2009 and together, they sold 32 million games.
Unfortunately stats for Nintendo platforms weren't included in the report. Nor were figures for downloadable titles.
