In a recent press conference hosted by Sony Ericsson, the newly named Xperia Play had its specifications released to the world. Sony Ericsson claims that the handheld will be able to game for 5 hours and 35 minutes, which will make it a better performing handheld device rather than Sony's other handhelds - ironic really.
The Play will also come with a 5.1 megapixel camera and 400MB of on-board memory, which can be extended to 32GB via microSD card (an 8GB microSD card will be included with the console). It will also come with a 4-inch widescreen which will support 480 x 854 (FWVGA) and the operating system supported by the device will be Android 2.3 (aka Gingerbread).
The Xperia Play is going to be launched this Spring. No specific dates were mentioned during the press conference.
