At the end of last week, a video went online that showed a guy getting 500 kills in a single match of Call of Duty: Black Ops, with only 8 deaths to show for it.
Unfortunately, this bragging has caused Treyarch to come down hard with a ban hammer and a rank reset because it alerted them to his blatant boosting tactics. Replying about the video on Twitter, Treyarch community manager, Josh Olin, said "They all [the users in the video] got temporarily banned, and rank reset. That's a form of boosting, so be sure not to do it."
Treyarch has had a torrid time trying to deal with all the cheaters and boosters on Call of Duty: Black Ops, but if they can continue dealing with things on a case-by-case basis, at least there will be some parity.
