When one thinks of the Japanese video game publisher Namco Bandai, they tend to think of fighting games and RPGs. The company's upcoming Nintendo 3DS offering, DualPenSports, is quite a deviation from that norm, following the minigame style gameplay of other titles such as Wii Sports and Wii Play. The publisher has just released a brand-new batch of screenshots showing off two of the game modes: basketball and skiing.

DualPenSports is a unique title in the fact that it utilizes two stylus during gameplay instead of just one. The game offers seven different sports, including soccer, boxing and archery. Players can customize their on-screen avatars and compete against friends via local wireless multiplayer.

Namco Bandai currently has DualPenSports set for a Q2 2011 release in North America. Until then, here are some screenshots to tide you over.
