The 3DS is out in Japan and will soon be on Western shelves later this month. The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D is one of the few titles that Nintendo is refreshing, complete with 3D, for their new handheld device.
It's not set in stone as an exact port of the original Nintendo 64 version, in fact Nintendo has revealed that they'll be adding extra content never before seen in the original Ocarina of Time: "Of course, the Nintendo 3DS version of Ocarina of Time is crammed with interesting things that weren't in the Nintendo 64 version," Nintendo genius Shigeru Miyamoto teased, "but we'll wait to talk about those."
Other remakes include Starfox 64, with CEO Satoru Iwata commenting, "if you put that game on the Nintendo 3DS hardware, with that new 3D depth, the gameplay itself would really come to life."
The Nintendo 3DS is out on March 27 and will retail at USD$249.99.
