Sony Computer Entertainment America has confirmed that Peter Dille has left the company. Dille was the senior VP of marketing and the PlayStation Network.
After spending eight years at SCEA, Dille joined THQ and spent seven years there. He rejoined Sony in 2006 and was a key figure during many of Sony's press conferences.
In a statement released to IGN, Sony said ""Peter has been a dedicated and valued member of the PlayStation team for more than five years, leading the North American marketing efforts since PlayStation 3 launch in 2006, as well as helping establish the PlayStation Network as a comprehensive entertainment solution in this territory."
No replacement has been named, and no reason has been given for his departure.
