Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Officially Announced, Gets Winter Release

The latest issue of OXM has confirmed that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is set for release this Winter on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The first bits of details revealed that the game would is set during the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, but from the perspective of the Umbrella Security Services.

You'll be able to play it solo or with up to four players in a co-op mode. The story follows USS agents as they fight to eliminate all evidence of the T-Virus outbreak, including all survivors.

Iconic locales and characters like Leon Kennedy return, not to mention, players will be able to rewrite Resident Evil history as they get the opportunity to either save or kill these characters.

The game is being developed by SOCOM Confrontation and Fireteam Bravo 3 studio Slant Six Games and is described as a "dirty," as well as darker than any previous titles.
