If you're a member of the Atlus faithful and signed up for their newsletter, you should have gotten an e-mail from them talking about how Rock of Ages's developer, ACE Team, had "stolen" the concept from an indie developer. Before you worry, it's just an April Fools joke. ;)
Rock of Ages has you guide a rock through various boards themed after numerous time periods, complete with their own unique art styles. As can be seen in the trailer below, the crazy zany action in the game should keep players enjoyed for hours.
The hoax is pretty elaborate, with Atlus and ACE Team even going out of their way to create an actual game out of the joke, which can be downloaded for free from the hoax's website.
Rock of Ages will be released on PSN, XBLA and PC (via digital distribution) later this Spring. No exact release date has been given, but it's likely that Atlus and ACE Team will be revealing that in the new few months as we get closer to summertime.
