Ever since the latest Nintendo DS Harvest Moon title's release last year in Japan, North American fans have been waiting for Natsume to officially announce the game's localization. Fans, worry not, as the publisher has just announce the game along with an unexpected surprise to boot.
The game, titled Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns, lets players pick to play as either a boy or a girl and follows the same gameplay mechanics as the recent Nintendo DS Harvest Moon outings but with new features such as new crops and a waterwheel.
The big surprise is that Natsume will be releasing the game on the Nintendo 3DS alongside the original Nintendo DS version that was released in Japan. No 3DS-specific extras were announced in the game's press release, however.
Natsume currently has Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns set for an Summer 2011 release in North America.
