When Mortal Kombat launches this week, those who pick up the PlayStation 3 version will have an exclusive character in Kratos. If you pick up the Xbox 360 version, however, you'll only have the default roster and that's not something that NetherRealm Studios wanted.
"Unfortunately, the circumstances didn't allow us to make a 360 exclusive," said Ed Boon, the creator of Mortal Kombat.
"I'm not allowed to talk too much about it, but I can tell you we certainly wanted to do an exclusive for 360, but that's all I can say. It was not a decision we made where we said, oh, let's not do one for the 360," he continued.
Mortal Kombat releases today in North America and Friday across Europe on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
