Naughty Dog have let loose the first set of details regarding Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode. It looks to be a lot more comprehensive than its previous outing, with new features like split-screen, ledge kills, full-on customization and more.
Some new modes include a three-way team deathmatch and the "oft-requested" Free-for-All deathmatch. They've also thrown in a Buddy system where you can spawn on your buddy in the game, much like the way Battlefield Bad Company 2 does it.
Moreover, ND have added in a Late Join feature, allowing players to simply join a friend mid-game instead of waiting for the round to end, if there is a slot available.
Customization isn't entirely a visual aesthetic either, you'll be able to change up your mags for bigger capacity, better scopes for more precision, and whatnot. Players can customize their appearance as well. Boosters also return, both new and old. More details over at the PlayStation Blog.
The beta starts on June 28, 2011.
