The Sun, a UK tabloid newspaper, lead today with a story which claimed that numerous consumers were returning their Nintendo 3DS consoles due to dizziness. Nintendo, and two of the UK's leading retailers, have shot these claims down.
Nintendo said: "The number of calls and emails with queries on Nintendo 3DS is in fact well below the rate experienced during past hardware launches and having spoken with our retail partners there are only a handful of people who have actually gone into stores to request a refund."
Retailer GAME, echoed these sentiments by stating that they'd issued less than five refunds, while HMV stated that they hadn't issued any refunds whatsoever. They did say that a small number of customers had chosen to trade their Nintendo 3DS in though, as part of a current promotion, but only for in-store credit.
