After staying silent for almost a week, Sony Japan has now issued a statement which confirms that the PSP Go will officially be discontinued in the region. The news was leaked last week <a href=2http://www.gamingunion.net/news/does-this-officially-mark-the-end-of-the-pspgo--4745.html">by a Sony employee on his blog.
In the statement, which was issued to Japanese website AV Watch, Sony states that focus has now been shifted towards the NGP, although they will continue to support the PSP through the PSP-3000.
Yesterday, Sony Computer Entertainment America stated that they would continue to sell the PSP Go in North America, but surely it's only a matter of time before they follow suit.
