TimeGate Studios have announced that Section 8: Prejudice will offer dedicated servers to Xbox 360 players. Teaming up with GameServers.com, Xbox 360 users will be able to take advantage of dedicated servers for the first time, a feature usually found exclusively on PCs.
"We're excited to provide this feature to the Xbox 360 community," said Adel Chaveleh, President of TimeGate Studios. "Players who rent dedicated servers from GameServers can customize their server so they can play with their clans and friends how and when they want. It's all about giving more control to the player.
"Our partnership with GameServers helps us provide a quality service for Xbox gamers never seen before, and we're proud to reveal this feature for Section 8: Prejudice in a manner that makes setup and management of a dedicated server a no-brainer."
Players are able to rent servers that support up to 32 players, choose between Ranked and Unranked, several game-types and modes, as well as pick from a plethora of other server customization preferences. It's all done through a web interface with TimeGate saying it "greatly [reduces] the traditional barrier to entry of setting up a dedicated server."
Section 8: Prejudice is an action packed shooter that is available now through Xbox Live Arcade for only $15 or 1200 Microsoft points. The game will hit PCs on May 4, while the PS3 version hits PlayStation Network this Summer.
