Internet hacking group, Anonymous, has come out and made it very clear that it was not them who stole credit card details on the PlayStation Network or Sony Online Entertainment.

This comes after Sony reported to Congress that they found a file on their Sony Online Entertainment Server which was called "Anonymous" and contained the words "We are legion".

In a press release by the group, Anonymous stated that "while we are a distributed and decentralised group, our leadership does not condone credit card theft."

They went on to say that they do not deny attacking the system earlier on with the DDOS attack, merely hacking with the attempt to profit from the affair.
