If you were a fan of the more finicky elements with Mass Effect, you may be slightly disappointed as it's been revealed that BioWare are looking to cut many elements that they deem 'meaningless' from the RPG-side of things.
When speaking to Official Xbox Magazine, Christina Norman, a senior designer on the game, said: "We don't want to have any meaningless behind-the-scenes stat games, where the output is very minor in combat. Every single thing you do has a real impact in the battle."
She went on to say that Mass Effect 3 will further develop on Mass Effect 2's streamlined third-person shooter mechanics. Shepard will be able to perform even more "actiony" moves this time around, like jumping between cover.
Yesterday, EA and BioWare also announced that Mass Effect 3 had been delayed to the start of 2012.
