According to an anonymous source at Disney's Black Rock Studio, the publishers has pulled the plug on a sequel to action-racer, Split/Second.
Because of the decision, the source, who spoke to Eurogamer, also states that around 100 staff were laid off. However, Black Rock will retain around 40 staff to work on future projects.
The move came, because Disney Interactive Studios has changed its priorities in recent months. They're supposed to be working on a risky project and they wanted a smaller team working on it.
