Earlier this month, XSEED Games announced that they were bringing the long-running dungeon RPG series Wizardry to the PS3 in the form of Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls on PSN. The publisher has just launched the game's official website and has released some excellent artwork of some of the monsters players will be facing as they trek through the harrowing dungeons.

Known as the "Granddaddy of RPGs," Wizardry was one of the first games to introduce grid-based dungeon crawling from (what was, at the time) a unique first-person perspective. The series has been brought up-to-date for a new generation of RPG fans with gorgeous hand-drawn graphics from famed artist Yuki Hayabusa, presented in crisp high definition.

The game's website can be found here. XSEED Games currently has the title pegged for a Spring 2011 release exclusively on PSN with downloadable content following the game's release.
