Aksys Games have announced that Fate/Extra for the PSP will make its way to North America later this year through both a PSN and retail release. Fate/Extra is an RPG written by Kinoko Nasu, the very same creator of popular Japanese visual novel Fate/Stay Night for the PC, an RPG that went on to spawn its own anime and manga series.
Developed by Imageepoch and published by Marvelous in Japan, RPG fans can look forward to an extensive story with multiple paths, dialogue trees and different endings. Here's a blurb of the epic tale.
Waking up in a strange virtual world with no recollection of the past, the main character finds themselves forced to fight for survival in a war they do not understand for a prize beyond value; the opportunity to have one's wish granted. With only an enigmatic Servant, mysterious Legendary Souls drawn from the whole of human history, by their side the protagonist will have to face both friends and foes in battles to the death in order to not only gain possession of a mysterious object known as the "Holy Grail", but also to find the answer to the most important question of all: "Who am I?"
Also confirmed to be included in the NA release of Fate/Extra is the original Japanese voice acting. On top of that, Aksys will be releasing a special edition. Now the question is if it's the same special edition as the one released in Japan, which included bonus content like the game's soundtrack, a bonus DVD, mini-artbook and even a limited edition figure of gorgeous-in-red Saber Extra.
