BioWare is the latest developer to be part of the internal sharing ring that EA has going on, as they have been working with EA DICE to make sure their audio is top notch.
"We've been chatting to the guys over at DICE who did the Battlefield and the Medal of Honor stuff and we've been doing a lot of knowledge sharing and asset sharing with those guys," said lead sound designer Rob Blake.
"The new Assault Rifle has different layers that change depending on what type of environment you're in, for example. There are lots of interactions between sounds - you can hear the different decay as shots echo off walls."
It's always great when this level of sharing is taking place, just as long as the individual games retain their own identity.
