Final Fantasy Type-0's director has taken to Square Enix's development blog to announce that the game is almost complete; it's now in its tuning and debugging phase of development.

Despite the game being in development for over 3 years (on the PSP version), Tabata defended the development time by saying that for around a year they weren't even working on the game, they were working on The 3rd Birthday instead.

Given that the game is now so close to completion, it looks as though Square Enix has really got their skates on. Only last week they said the game was <a href="http://www.finalfantasyunion.com/news/type-0-delayed-until-fall-square-enix-looking-into-overseas-release--1721.html"only 80 percent complete". As a result, it was delayed in Japan until fall.
