The Nintendo 3DS recently received a price cut in Japan, but according to retailer Best Buy, North America isn't being left out. The 3DS is now retailing for $199.99, saving consumers 50 of their precious dollars. Catch is, it's only for a limited time.
The 3DS launched earlier this year with a pretty hefty price tag of $249.99, leaving many consumers hesitant about purchasing such a costly device. Sales have been pretty slow and the lack of content even slower.
With the price cut, Nintendo may hope to drive sales up before the impending release of Sony's PlayStation Vita, which is set to retail at $249 as well.
