The Nintendo 3DS video service has gone live in Europe and Japan, offering 3DS users the first bits and bobs of video programs in 3D. The free app can be downloaded from the 3DS eShop.

At the moment, the first bit of content available includes clips of Disney's Oscar's Oasis, a children's program as well as another series called Magic Tricks for Your Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo is promising more content soon, including movie trailers and music concerts.

In addition, Nintendo also shed some light on their partnership with Netflix. Users with an unlimited Network account will be able stream content from Netflix onto their 3DS at no additional cost.

Meanwhile, Japan's video service is offering video content from major TV networks and daily talk shows. The new video service is scheduled for launch in the US later this year.

And yes, there should be "Video" between "3DS" and "Service" in this story's title.
