The debut trailer for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been deployed, revealing a number of key features including more maps, modes, ranked matchmaking and even cross-platform play.

Valve currently has plans to host their own servers for CS:GO, although players will also be able to set up their own dedicated servers. Official Valve servers, however, will offer proper skill-based matchmaking to keep the competitive experience balanced.

CS:GO is currently scheduled for a 2012 release on PC, Mac, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
