An Xbox 360 owner called David Stebbins has filed a lawsuit against Microsoft that totals $500 billion after he found a contractual technicality in the Xbox Live terms and conditions.
He claims that when he signed up to Xbox Live he entered into a contract which was binding for both himself and Microsoft. Therefore, he felt he had the ability to unilaterally amend the terms of service. He informed Microsoft of this and gave them ten days to reply - they didn't.
Microsoft has yet to comment on the matter, but it'll be interesting to see if this case gains any traction in the courts. Stebbins claims he is using big-company tactics against them and feels, obviously, that he is in the right.
