To try and stem the tide of negative publicity, GameStop will be offering financial compensation to consumers affected by the removal of OnLive coupons in their copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Anyone who received a copy without a coupon should be offered a $50 free gift card for the store, while also receiving a "Buy Two, Get One Free" deal on any used games.

In an email to consumers, GameStop apologised for them getting in the way of a dispute between themselves and the publisher of the game, Square Enix.
