NIS America have announced that they've nabbed the license for Black Rock Shooter The Game for both North America and Europe! It's easily one of the more anticipated JRPGs developed by Imageepoch.

"We are delighted to announce Black Rock Shooter. This is a title that many fans have been waiting for and it definitely lives up to the hype. We have not finalized a release date yet, but we are working hard to get it out as soon as possible. Please look forward to this amazing game," announced NIS America producer Jack Niida.

Black Rock Shooter started out as a humble character concept illustrated by renowned Japanese artist Huke. An original video animation was broadcasted earlier last year and an anime series adaptation is currently scheduled to start in January 2012 in Japan.

The game's plot puts the Earth at the mercy of extraterrestrial invaders. The last hope for humanity is Black Rock Shooter, the ultimate battle android. Unfortunately, she awakens to find that there only twelve human beings left on the planet.
