Nintendo's 3DS hasn't had the best of starts, with a lacklustre lineup and rocky third party support. Nintendo recently announced the massive price cut, but it appears that rumours are now saying the company is planning to launch a revised model of the 3DS some time next year.
According to the source (01net, who also reported rumours on the Wii U and PSVita), claims that the new hardware will feature more control options in the way of a second analog stick, as well as "radically" toning back on the 3D focus. In fact, a full re-branding is possible.
Apparently, Nintendo is also looking to add a second analog stick through an add-on for the present 3DS models, which will reportedly retail for $10. Rumours say that the announcement for the new 3DS will be made at the Tokyo Game Show this September.
