Sony have announced and revealed what they call a Head Mounted Display "Personal 3D Viewer." Dubbed the HMZ-T1, it's still a prototype and details have yet to be revealed, but it looks like something straight out of TRON.

The device is equipped with two 0.7 inch HD (1280 x 720) OLED viewfinders and uses the Duel Panel 3D method to deliver HD content to each individual eye, resulting in the equivalent of a massive 750 inch 3D display. It also touts integrated 5.1 surround sound headphones.

The device is expected to retail for 60,000 yen, but the final cost is still to be determined.
