Here's a big one dropped tonight by Nintendo and Capcom: Monster Hunter 4 has been announced to be in development for the 3DS, despite Monster Hunter 3G scheduled for a December release "“ which now looks more like a teaser of what's to come.
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata confirmed that the next main numbered Monster Hunter would again be developed for their system, except instead of the Wii or Wii U, it's for the 3DS. The announcement was made with a surprise trailer after Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto talked a little bit about Monster Hunter 3G.
No other details have been released at this time. It'll be interesting to see if Monster Hunter 4 ends up a 3DS exclusive or if it'll see release on rival handheld PlayStation Vita as well.
