Former employees from Eidos Montreal and Ubisoft Montreal have banded together to create a new studio called Tribute Games, which will also be based in Montreal.
The studio will have an indie ethos and will be headed up by Justin Cyr, Jonathan Lavigne and Jean-Francois Major - each of which has a core speciality.
"We chose the name Tribute Games because when we make games, we want to pay tribute to all the cool games from our childhood," said Lavigne on the website's blog.
Their first game will be called Wizorb and is due for release as an Xbox Live Indie title. A PC release will follow shortly after.
