2K Czech have lost more than 40 staff positions in a recent redundancy operation meant "to streamline the development process, reduce costs and maximize studio performance."

The majority of positions terminated occurred at the Brno location, while the studio based in Prague suffered less than ten terminations. The two studios operate under the 2K Czech banner and together have lost roughly a quarter of its development staff.

Despite the losses, 2K Games and parent company Take-Two assure eager eyes that their "goal to create world-class video game titles remains unchanged."
