Sony have released a new batch of images of the PlayStation Vita and its home screen, which you can view over at our Facebook page. There are a few subtle changes, such as a slot on the left hand side as well as the PS Vita logo on the slot for game cards.
Sony recently revealed the the PS Vita will allow for local ad-hoc multiplayer gaming with PSPs, although a list of titles has yet to be released. In addition, the device will not be region locked, enabling consumers to import games that aren't published in their regions, just like the PSP. Eager customers can also expect the battery to last 3 to 5 hours "“ although Sony also confirmed an external battery for longer lasting game sessions.
Sony announced at the Tokyo Game Show last week that the PlayStation Vita will hit stores on December 17 in Japan. No word yet on an overseas release.
