Sony have officially revealed the release date for the PlayStation Vita, Sony's next-generation portable, in Japan tonight at the Tokyo Game Show.
Japan will be getting it just in time for the holidays on December 17. Unfortunately, Sony have not yet unveiled any dates for North America or Europe. We'll keep you updated on that as Sony releases more information.
In addition, Sony will be partnering up with DoCoMo to provide pre-paid 3G service in Japan. Both messaging and gaming services will cost 980 yen for 20 hours while 100 hours will cost 4,980 yen.
